Turnip Yellows Virus Field Infection in Oilseed Rape: Does It Impact the Yield and Quality?

چکیده
Brassica napus L., winter oilseed rape (OSR), is a major crop worldwide, with wide range of uses and high profitability. Viruses, such as turnip yellows virus (TuYV), are becoming increasingly important, in certain years, they can cause significant infestations OSR. It difficult to detect the presence during visual field inspections, symptoms it causes be confused either those caused by abiotic factors (e.g., low temperature, soil compaction, nutrient deficiencies, etc.) or other viruses. The objective this study was determine susceptibility four commercial hybrids TuYV Hungary effect on phenotypic yield parameters. results showed that infection OSR some growing seasons. found appearance anthocyanin leaves) does not always confirm (based ELISA (enzyme-linked immuno assay)), negative all parameters tested based one season.

Variable impact of Verticillium longisporum on oilseed rape yield in field trials in the United Kingdom
The Verticillium genus comprises economically important plant pathogens that collectively affect a broad range of annual and perennial crops. Verticillium longisporum mainly infects brassicaceous hosts, including oilseed rape. The most conspicuous symptom of V. longisporum infection on oilseed rape is black stem striping that appears towards the end of the cropping season. Thus far, the impact ...

The effects of two different harvest stages (full flowering and full podding) on forage yield and quality of ten forage rape (Brassica napus L. var. oleifera) and three turnip (Brassica rapa L. var. rapa) cultivars were evaluated under rainfed conditions in a Mediterranean type climate at Bursa, Turkey, during the 2002/2003 and 2003/2004 growing seasons. Plant height, branches per plant, leaf l...
متن کاملInterrelationships among oilseed rape (Brassica napus L.) grain yield and weed growth under different nitrogen levels
Management of nitrogen fertilization in crops is one of the most important components of integrated weed management. A two-year field experiment was conducted to determine the direct effects of wild mustard aboveground biomass and N content of wild mustard on oilseed rape yield. A set of factorial treatments was arranged in a randomized complete block design with four replications. Treatments w...
